Anche in Italia, come nel resto d’Europa e del mondo, gli ultimi mesi hanno visto centinaia di migliaia di persone scendere in piazza contro il cambiamento climatico e contro le grandi opere. Importanti sono state le piazze oceaniche di Fridays For Future il 15 marzo e quella dei comitati a Roma, il 23 dello stesso mese.
Del resto l’ultimo rapporto IPCC chiarisce la drammaticità della situazione e nei pochi anni che rimangono per arrivare allo zero netto di emissioni, ci è richiesto un cambiamento di rotta radicale.
Una rivoluzione che deve trasformare il nostro modello energetico (fuoriuscita dal fossile), il nostro sistema di gestione territoriale (stop alle grandi opere, al consumo di suolo, alla devastazione ambientale) e quello che regola il ciclo dell’alimentazione.
Venezia, in quanto città costiera, città in cui acqua e pietra si compenetrano, sarà particolarmente soggetta agli effetti del climate change e dell’innalzamento del medio mare.
Eppure, anziché pensare a come affrontare questa grande sfida, miliardi di fondi pubblici sono stati dirottati verso una grande opera come il MOSE, utile solo ad ingrassare politici ed imprenditori corrotti. Tutto ciò mentre le grandi navi da crociera, inquinanti e devastanti per l’ambiente, continuano a transitare a pochi metri da Piazza S. Marco.
Facciamo allora di Venezia un simbolo della lotta al cambiamento climatico, usiamo la Mostra Internazionale del Cinema, che si svolgerà proprio in quei giorni, come cassa di risonanza globale!
Vi invitiamo ad un grande campeggio, nazionale ed europeo, un’occasione per stare assieme, per approfondire molte tematiche legate alla crisi climatica, per mobilitarsi in nome della giustizia climatica e contro le grandi opere.
Tutt* ospiti di una magnifica spiaggia occupata, allestita all’insegna del minimo impatto ambientale.

September 4th-8th: Climate Camp – Camping for climate justice in Italy, Venice Lido!

In Italy, as in the rest of Europe and of the world, the last months have been characterized by the mobilization of hundreds of thousands of people, who took the street to protest against the climate crisis and major works. In Italy, the most important moments were the oceanic parades of Fridays For Future first global strike, on March 15th, and the demonstration of Italian committees in Rome, on March 23rd.
For the matter, the last IPCC report clarifies that the situation we are facing is extremely dramatic, and that within the very few years left to reach a zero-emission model, we are required to operate a radical change of course.
A revolution that has to transform our energetic system (out of fossil fuel), our model of territorial management (stop major works, stop land consumption, stop environmental devastation) and the handling of food cycle.
Venice, as coast city, as city wherein water and stone intermingle, will be particularly affected by climate change effects and by the rising of the sea.
And yet, instead of thinking about how to confront this massive challenge, billions of public money have been spent for a major infrastructure as MOSE, only useful for fattening corrupt politicians and entrepreneurs. All this while cruise ships, harmful and devastating for the environment, keep passing few meters away from Saint Mark square.
Let’s make Venice a symbol of the struggle against climate change, let’s use the Venice Film Festival as a stage to be seen and heard worldwide!
We invite you to a great international camping, an opportunity to gather together, examine many of the issues linked to the climate crisis, to rally in the name of climate justice and against major works. All this while being hosted in a beautiful occupied beach, set with minimal environmental impact.

In Italien, wie im Rest Europas und der Welt, sind in den vergangenen Monaten hunderte von tausenden von Menschen auf die Strassen gezogen, um gegen den Klimawandel und gegen grosse Bauprojekte zu demonstrieren. Besonders gross waren die ozeanischen Demonstrationen von Fridays For Future am 15.Maerz und die des Roemer Komitees am 23. Maerz.

Zudem macht der letzte IPCC Bericht klar, wie dramatisch die Situation ist. In den wenigen Jahren, die uns verbleiben, um auf ein definitives Null der Emissionen zu kommen, muss eine radikale Veraenderung stattfinden.

Eine Revolution, die unser energetisches Modell (Ausstieg aus der Fossilenergie), unser System der territorialen Verwaltung (Stop zu den grossen Bauprojekten, zum Konsum der Bodenressourcen, zur Umweltzerstoerung) und der Regulierung unseres Ernaehrungszyklus transformiert.

Venedig als Kuestenstadt und Stadt, in der sich Wasser und Stein gegenseitig durchdringen, wird ganz besonders unter den Konsequenzen des Klimawandels und dem Anstieg des Meeresspiegels leiden.

Und dennoch, statt darueber nachzudenken, wie diese grosse Herausforderung ueberwaeltigt werden koennte, wurden Milliarden von oeffentlichen Fonds umgeleitet und in grosse Bauprojekte wie MOSE investiert, die nur dazu dienen, korrupte Politiker und Unternehmer zu maesten. Das alles, waehrend die grossen, umweltschaedlichen und –vernichtenden Kreuzschiffe, weiterhin nur wenige Meter entfernt am Markusplatz vorbeiziehen.

Machen wir also aus Venedig ein Symbol des Kampfes gegen den Klimawandel, nutzen wir das Internationale Filmfestival (Mostra del Cinema), das genau in diesen Tagen stattfinden wird, als globales Sprachrohr !

Wir laden euch auf einen grossen nationalen und europaeischen Campingplatz ein, perfekte Gelegenheit, um zusammen zu bleiben, um die vielen, an die Klimakrise gebundenen Thematiken zu vertiefen und uns im Namen der Klimagerechtigkeit und gegen die grossen Bauprojekte zu mobilisieren.

Seid alle Gaeste eines wunderbaren, belagerten Strandes, der mit minimalem Umweltimpakt aufgebaut wird.
